Fredagain.., a groundbreaking artist and producer, today announces the release of his new album "Actual Life 3" (January 1 - September 9 2022), the third installment of his hugely successful "Actual Life" trilogy. To celebrate the announcement, Fredagain.. has shared a new track from the album, 'Danielle (smile on my face),' which samples the acapella of 070 Shake's 'Nice To Have,' a song that has been Fredagain..'s most listened to track this year and has soundtracked his "actual life."
Building on the foundation laid with his debut LP "Actual Life (February 2nd - July 19th)" and its follow-up "Actual Life 2 (February 2 - October 15 2021)," "Actual Life 3" sees Fredagain.. continue his diary-esque approach to production. His intimate use of voice notes from friends, videos found while scrolling on Instagram, and samples from important records in his life serve as a personal record of his experiences, offering insight into his world over the past year.
"Actual Life 3" is a continuation of Fredagain..'s autobiographical body of work, referencing and pushing forward the heritage of UK electronic music while standing as a testament to the power of music in facilitating catharsis, healing, and celebrating the realities of friendship, love, and life.
Today's announcement follows a run of acclaimed club-ready singles under Fredagain..'s 'USB' playlist series, including last month's collaboration with Swedish House Mafia, "Turn On The Lights again.." featuring Future (his highest charting single to date), June's thunderous "Jungle," January's "Lights Out" in collaboration with HAAi and Romy, and March's "Admit It (U Don't Want 2)" with I.Jordan. All four tracks have become fixtures in DJ sets around the world, as well as in Fredagain..'s own live performances, a stunningly honed show that takes crowds through material from the achingly beautiful moments of his "Actual Life" album series and unifying, standout tracks like "Marea (We've Lost Dancing)" and "Billie (Loving Arms)" from last summer.
One of the places where Fredagain..'s live prowess was experienced in all its glory was at the Coachella festival in California, where Forbes noted, "Fredagain.. caught quite the Coachella buzz, and for good reason. The aesthetic of his vibrant set somehow perfectly encapsulated our collective nervous breakdown of the past two years and then set us all free."
In his short but prolific career, Fredagain.. has released two acclaimed, deeply personal albums from his "Actual Life" series, which were beloved by fans and critics alike. Last year also saw Fredagain.. become one of the year's most talked about live acts as he transformed his "Actual Life" records into an immersive, communal real-life experience for the first time. With shows selling out across the UK and USA, he was named one of Mixmag's "Top 10 Live Acts Of 2021."
Fredagain..'s upward trajectory continued with the viral success of his Boiler Room set last month, which has surpassed over 5 million streams in only 4 weeks.
